About

Tempura Kondo is a two Michelin star tempura restaurant in Ginza where chef Fumio Kondo has spent over 50 years refining his craft. His approach treats tempura as a form of steaming, preparing each ingredient just before frying to preserve its essence. Vegetable tempura here stands equal to the seafood, and a vegetarian course menu is available. In 2019, Kondo became the first tempura chef awarded the Contemporary Master Craftsman title, and in 2023 the first to receive the Mentor Chef Award.
