KO-SO CAFE BIORISE
Vegan
KO-SO CAFE BIORISE is a fully vegan organic cafe in Ebisu named after ko-so (酵素), the Japanese word for enzyme. The menu is designed around enzyme rich ingredients and organic vegetables, with an emphasis on low calorie, health forward cooking. The most popular item is the enzyme curry, made from 18 types of vegetables stewed into a paste and finished with a house spice blend (gluten free, oil free). The brown pancakes, three tiers of buckwheat and roasted brown rice flour topped with soy cream and berries, clock in under 300 calories. More than ten types of green smoothies are available. The restaurant holds both a vegan certification from VegeProject Japan and a halal certification from the Malaysian Halal Corporation.
